Last week we told you that Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones aka The Black Farmer would be a guest speaker at this year’s Chudleigh Literary Festival on Wednesday 10th July. This week, we are excited to announce that our second guest speaker will be the highly prolific historical novelist, Michael Jecks.
With more than forty published titles to his name, Michael is best known for his Templar Series of medieval west country murder mysteries featuring Sir Baldwin de Furnshill and Bailiff Simon Puttock. This series, with thirty-two titles out there so far, is the longest-running crime series by any living author.
Michael Jecks has been in the industry for around a quarter of a decade and has been Chairman of the Crime Writers’ Association; a Royal Literary Fellow at Exeter University; and is a popular speaker at literary festivals, libraries and educational establishments both in this country and overseas. We are delighted that he has agreed to come to Chudleigh for the literary festival and look forward to hearing all about how he researches and writes his books.
