[This week’s post is written by CWC member, Jean Grimsey.] Some time ago the five organisers of Poetry Teignmouth and Teignmouth Poetry Festival invited me to join them for a weeklong poetry bash this May in Relleu, a village high in the hills above Alicante.

We have news this week of two performances featuring members of Chudleigh Writers’ Circle, one performing her own one-woman show, while the other is part of a company delivering the words of playwright Terence Frisby.

Each year, as part of the Chudleigh Literary Festival we hold our monthly Chudleigh Writers’ Circle meeting in the marquee; usually with a great outside speaker as our workshop leader. And this year is no exception, as we will be working again with the wonderfully dynamic Jenny Kane.

Are You Ready To Face The Dragons?

There’s a band of dragons heading for Chudleigh Literary Festival next month and we’re looking for heroes and heroines who are ready to face up to them.  But not just any old heroes and heroines. We need writers, novelists in fact. And it doesn’t matter whether you are a newbie, working on your first novel; or a seasoned regular on the publishing scene, you are all eligible to take part.
